A sweet malliable paste which can be formed into tiny fruits. Match the color of gelatin used to the color of the tiny fruit; Strawberries, of course, must be made with Strawberry gelatin! For extra detailing, dye sliced almonds green with food coloring and use as leaves. Plain slivered almonds stand in as fruit stems, and banana stems can be simulated with whole cloves.

Coconut Strawberries (Marzipan)
1 7-oz package fine-grated coconut
1 3-oz package Jell-O Gelatin (any fruit flavor)
1 cup grated blanched almonds
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract

Thoroughly mix all ingredients.  Form into small fruits
and vegetables, or decorative shapes such as hearts, moons,
stars, or new blue diamonds!
